This magnificent house is situated in the village of Canneto, on the island of Lipari, the largest island of the Aeolian Islands. This island group is located in the Mediterranean, north of Sicily (an hour from Sicily by hovercraft). The Lipari or Aeolian Islands consist of eight volcanic islands and are named after the Greek god of wind, Aeolus. On Lipari you will find several restaurants and bars. 

This first-floor accommodation is part of an apartment complex and is suitable for four to six persons. Upon request two extra beds can be added. The spacious living room has two large sofas. There are two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and a single bed. There are two bathrooms, both with a shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. There is a small balcony with furniture. The kitchen adjoins the living room and is fully equipped, including a toaster, stove, Italian coffeemaker, refrigerator / freezer and oven. The apartment is comfortably furnished and has air-conditioning, central heating and a television.

Through the decalcification of the lava, there is a large production of Lipari pumice. Pumice is characteristic of the island. The white stones of the island can be seen from afar off. You can visit a pumice stone cave, which is definitely worthwhile. The island is perfect for long walks, mountain bike tours or excursions by quad. While on a long trip, you can stop at some great vantage points and enjoy a panoramic view of the Aeolian Islands. In August, cars are restricted. Only the islanders themselves or tourists who actually have an accommodation on the island may have a car. You have the possibility to rent mountain bikes or quads on the island. These are the most ideal means of transportation on the island. While on the island you should visit the Aeolian Archaeological Museum. This museum shows the history of the islands from the raids by Carthage up to the fascism of Mussolini. For good food and drinks you are at the right place on Lipari. Specialties of the island include swordfish and the "Malvasia” spiced wine. The still relatively undiscovered Aeolian Islands have everything you need to make your holiday a unique event including bays, creeks, active volcanoes, isolated reefs, clear water full of marine life, beautiful colors and archaeological treasures. The Aeolian Islands are on UNESCO’s world heritage list.
